So all you both have just proved is that you haven't read it all before commenting

Whiteline ARB's, AP racing calipers, Eibach's, ITG performance filter, Thorney Remap...

Re: remember that guy detailing his brand new VXR?

I love to have a clean shiny car as much as the next bloke and dont get me wrong I will whip out the clay bars and give the car a good going over to make it look superb and spend hours doing it, in fact most people think im sad because I clean the cars often. I even go the whole hog and have them properly valeted from time to time!

But seriously that is really sad especially on a Vauxhall, he could have spent all that money on a better car, I think I could understand it more if he had an M3 or something.....

And he may have spent money on performance mods, but do we think he takes it out on wet dirty country lanes and gives it a pasting, I think not....he could damage his layer of wax!

shocking... anyway some big seagull is likely to come and crap on the car anyway making them layers of wax a bit redundant as you start washing them off....

Arse

I wasn't just talking about the level of cleaning just the combination of detail he has put into the car..

Look at the whole thing and you can't help but appreciate what he has done..

Come on, you know how clean my cars are so not exactly like i'd trying to defend people with a cleaning fetsih

Re: remember that guy detailing his brand new VXR?

Sometimes that level of detail is just not needed. In my dads house the pipe runs for the central heating are laser-straight... The dry-lined rooms are perfectly rectangular...

Sometimes he needs reminding that it doesn't all have to be perfect.

This guy obviously doesn't have anyone to remind him that it's just a car.

Re: remember that guy detailing his brand new VXR?

pipe runs in a loft don't need to be perfectly straight, they need to be functional. You can spend 3 hours getting them perfect, or 20 minutes getting them there or there abouts. Best to spend that 2 hours 40 on something more productive, or more noticable.

I don't think you're going to convince me that spending several days washing the car is anything but crazy. I'm a realist and it's only going to get dirty again. I've more important things to do with my life so it's a balance between having a clean car, and spending time cleaning it. A couple hours a week is about as much as I can spare.
