This is what happens when I get loaned a car with damage!!!!

I have a Brera on loan at the moment, had a really nasty scratch across the front of the bonnet... Ideal for some practice I thought.

Bare in mind here that my photography skills are limited & I was only concentrating on this particular scratch due to failing light.

Clayed the offending area with Bult Hamber & this is what we have.

Not good as you can see.

Nope, still no better from here!!!!

There were some chips on the leading edge of the bonnet & I could see the top coat looked pretty thick.

The measurement on the PTG was the same all the way along the area of damage.

And where there is no top coat we have this.

So out with the 2500grit, liberally sprayed with water & a dash of Shampoo Plus leaves us with this.

Time for some Megs #80 - whoops, bit too much, but that will work in.

Which left us with this after 10 mins or so.

Then a spot of Menz FF

And some Blue Velvet

And a final check

There is the smallest evidence still there, but I dare not go too mad

Good job Mark. I tried using the Cyclo once but found it a bit heavy and cumbersome.. do you just use it for small repairs?

It is pretty heavy yes, but I have no probs with doing a full car correction with it.

Get any money off the service for returning the car with less damage than you got it?

Did they mark the damage down on their little forms?

Re: This is what happens when I get loaned a car with damage!!!!

They noticed!!!!!

"How did you do that" they asked, they said it was the first time a car had been returned to them in better condition than when it went out.
