wax polish??????

newbie here
getting a black punto end of the week and want to keep it clean.
i have had a black samrt roadster coupe which was a nightmare to keep clean as was so low to ground etc...
i know about using 2 buckets...lambswool mitt ... microfibre cloth to dry etc...
from what i can gather- polish strips the imperfections in paintwork and the wax then seals and protects the paintwork

i have some autoglym super resin polish-
how often should i use the super resin polish?
and should i use a wax to protect the paintwork after using super resin polish?
should i re-apply the wax if so how often?

Re: wax polish??????

SRP is a fairly good all in one product (although I hate the way it leaves white marks), I'd follow it with a Dodo Juice wax.

Re: wax polish??????

SRP is a good polish for moderately deteriorated paint work it wont deal with deep swirl marks however it will mask them...

it depends what you want to do

for a Quick tart up Autoglyms Ultra deep shine is an all in one designed for dark cars and contains more fillers than SRP however that's not going to cure the problem permanently....

for that will take a bit of work, care and time (along with a sore arm)

your best off starting with a clean car give it a wash with All Purpose cleaner this should remove any wax/polish

next clay the car with a clay bar (search the car care section for how)

Next give each panel a good going over with a scratch removing compound such as Meguires Scratch-X or T_cut METALLIC

next polish with Super resin polish

then seal with a wax or synthetic sealent such as Extra Gloss Protection
