Re: meguiars cleaning products

i got 3 lumps of yellow clay for a tenner from clean your car
i cleaned car with just a was n wax
clayed it with megs detailer as a lube (pink stuff) you can dilute it 50/50
polished it with megs gold class free samples
washed it again because it got dusty
then megs nxt wax stuff
then auto glym extra gloss protection.

since then ive washed it with megs shampoo as i get free samples of that too.

i get most water off with hydro blade then let rest dry on its own, then clean off the water marks with detail spray, i got the gallon of megs detailer as it works out quite cheap

Re: meguiars cleaning products

I love my car so much I lick it clean with my tongue. Takes a little longer than the traditional method and it can leave an after taste in your mouth.

In this instance, drink Robinsons Barley Water - orange - at a mix of 15 parts water to 1 part Barley Water (again, I cannot stress this point enough - it must be orange flavour)

You will notice a couple (or three) of things when executing this method
1. Your tongue can differentiate between the texture of grit, salt and bird s**t
2. Your neighbours will no longer talk to you
3. Your wife and children leave you

However, the resulting swirl free paintwork looks great and this may allow you to add at least an extra £10.00 to the selling price - if selling the car

Goodnight!

wise words young dave.. I use a 2 bucket deal.. raw water to remove any dirt from my mitt once I have put it on my car, clean it, then put into my soap bucket..

Megs hot wheels is very very good, for pre-wheel clean.. It comes in a pinky/purple spray bottle.. Literally, spray on, leave, it breaks down the dust and dirt, and then you can just wipe away

Auto glym shampoo is crap. Use megs NXT its alot better

SRP isnt a wax it should be used before waxing.

If you clayed the car then you will have taken all the protection off from previous coats of wax so you will need to put on SRP then put the wax back on to protect the paintwork. Then just give it SRP every couple of weeks and rewax it using a proper wax
