How to find out how many valves has my punto?

I have a fiat punto 1.2 2001. I bought it used and I don't know how many valves it has - 8v or 16v? I checked all documents that came with the car but couldn't find anything. Is there a way to find out somehow?

If you open the bonnet and you find a rubber hose on the right hand side going from the throttle body from behind the engine forward and turning right with a massive spout in the middle (the pipe almost looking like a W) then it is 16v.
