alloy wheel repair

Can you buy kits that you can repair kerbing yourself? I'm sure I've seen some before.

3 of my wheels are kerbed and one is flaking, damn claws not paying £60 each for repair.

EDIT: this http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...tegoryrn_31336 any good?

Is the wheel colour going to match though? Probably not.

Re: alloy wheel repair

Look at the contents of the kit

2 x clear gel palstic filler
1 x activator & pump spray
4 x coarse wet & dry
1 x silver paint
1 x wheel mask
1 x masking tape
2 x cleaning wipes
1 x pair of gloves

You could buy the constituents from for alot less than £30 and have enough to refurb all the wheels and a few pints afterwards. A bit of wet and dry, filler, and spray paint is all you need. White spirit would be sufficient to remove any residual grease and who hasn't got a spare pair of gloves, if not £5 for a box of 100.
