Gearbox woes...

Hello all,

My friend an I recently changed the 'box on my '99 Punto 60.

Everything went pretty-much according to plan but once we'd finished the clutch pedal was really REALLY light and on driving the car the clutch slipped badly and felt like it was never really engaging properly.

The clutch was replaced about 1500 miles before the old 'box let go and was working fine with the 'box. The thing is, when we went to fit the replacement 'box we noticed that a few of the springs on the clutch pressure plate had become slightly bent whilst removing the old 'box - could this be causing the light pedal and slipping clutch? I thought I'd ask before we remove the whole 'box again!!

Any help would be very much appreciated.
