gears cinquecento

hi
i posted a thread about removing a gearknob on a cinq. and i got directed to another thread - i didnt fully understand it (not too good with cars - a new driver!) but it seemed to suggest that the 1108 cinq (which mine is) has a lift up reverse, but mine doesnt! mine is push down. does that mean i have the gear box for the 899???
