| changing the break discs hey, i decided to buy myself some new pads and discs for my 2000 punto 1.2 8v as the old set has had its day. I have decided to replace them myself which i thought would be easy for me as i have done it on my other car but i have never done it on my punto. Basically my dilema is with thr rotors as after i removed the caliper i cant get the bloody disc off! on my last car it just slid right off but on the punto it seems to be wedged on. Do i need to undo the large bolt in the middle of the rotor? is that holding it onto the axel? or do you think its just severely rusted onto the axle and would come off if i gave it a hard whack? any1 done this b4? Cheers.

| Pick a window, your leavin | Re: changing the break discs Sounds like your rotor is rusted to the hub. Your best bet is probably a rubber mallet to the rear of the disc BUT I'd go to the Punto section and ask again there. The Punto section can be found here or by scrolling down the forum lists and looking under 'Fiat Cars'. You'll get a far better response there.
