Black Plastics In Footwell

Hi,

I have been looking through previous threads and didnt manage to find anything dedicated to what im looking for.

The black plastic in the footwells keeps getting kicked when people are getting in and out so i need a good solution to get them looking black again.

There are a few things in another thread re: exterior plastics that i will try but if anyone has any better ideas then let me know.

Thanks

Rich

Scrub with a brush and all purpose cleaner (APC, can get a cheap one from tescos). You spray it on, leave for a few mins then screw then wipe off.

Then i'd go for autoglym bumper care, its the best i've found for black trim. Its slightly sticky but thats not an issue in footwells. Meguiars endurance tyre gel works well but will leave them quite sticky

Hi i use amorall dashboard wipes (matt finish) this always happens to me and they always bring it back up again and make them look new- plus it doesn't leave it sticky go for the matt finish rather than the gloss though because the gloss finish gives it a 'cheap' look

Bit of silicon spray, mr muscle that sort of thing - don't get it on any control surfaces though, makes them bloody slippery and dangerous.

Re: Black Plastics In Footwell

just use shoe shine/cream

just apply as if you would to shoes... rub it in and buff.

Of dont buff it up... that way you're getting even to those leaving the traces in the footwells by leaving traces of black shoeshine on their shoes

Greetz,

Re: Black Plastics In Footwell

go for products than don't contain silicone, they make it look cheap and nasty
