what do you guy's use to re black door handles etc

just waxed my car and as usual its left a bit of white residue on the black door handles and door rubbing strips.just wondered what you guy's used to re black these parts.

some use vegetable oil i think, apparently restores moisture and suchlike.

but your talking about wax marks. im sure its been covered before, do a searchy

using baby oil normally works for me

Ive tried Autoglyms Bumper black which lasts for about 2 weeks (less in the rain) and Meguras trim black (if thats what its called) and that lasted about 2 down pours and left its residue all over the bonnet where it had run down

I have tried cleaning the plastic with AG's Fast glass as its supposed to strip polish it didnt touch it (although im highly tempted to try it and a toothbrush to get into the grain)

the best i have found to date is Simonize (spl) Back to Black although you have to keep it off your paint work as it contains a black pigment but it has lasted 2 weeks so far and was only £4.99 a bottle

dont bother with Car plans bumper black it runs off with the rain as my mum found out after she spent 45 mins doing her KA

ye i have the same problem with my plastics due to my autoglym polish and will be checking out the solutions suggested above!

I tried baby oil and the next day it was back to normal! i wont be using it again.

i went and bought some baby oil today from a shop in town.i had to ask a girl assistant where it was.she said are you a stripper.so i said what with this belly. anyway i will try the baby oil on my car at the weekend.

lol., use a sponge with soap on it then put babyoil or whatever on it., i use that simoniz stuff aswell., have to say the simoniz range is pretty good.,

Oil is good but it tends to attract lots of dirt don't you think??
i tend to use Black boot polish fairly good and waterproof too.....

I can't speak for every product they sell but I used some Simoniz Original Wax this weekend and I am absolutely stunned by the results. It was pissing down with rain earlier and after a couple of minutes of driving the car was spotless again. And at £4.99 a bottle it's an absolute bargain, though I've only ever seen it for sale in one shop.
