Remote Control Locking

Hi,

Newbie question:

Got a Fiat Punto 2000 HGT and yesterday in the rain the remote control stopped locking stopped working. The central locking by key in door approach still works and the light is flashing on the front of the key fob.

Had a flat battery last night and had to reenter code for radio - have I done anything wrong?

Is it the damp?
