Re: Whats best for punto mk1 bumpers etc

you mean the black textured ones???

carlube blacking GEL (not spray, that lasts 10mins, and looks cheap and shiney), its £4.50 in tesco/halfrauds, last's around 6months on the car, and makes ALL the black plastics look SWEET and new, without being shiney (unless you want them to be).

theres also a CLEAR gel stuff, that does a similar job and works on most plastics (inc greys and that) but, if it WAS black and is now really really grey, you'll need the black stuff.

also the autoglym vinyl care stuff is alright, but literally lasts just a couple of days, its good for your windscreen wiper blades and door seals though, cleans them very well

Meguiers Trim detailer, it's not specific on colour and is the dogs back wheels at getting bumpers looking good again, does anything plastic/rubber etc.

Tried all the others and this lasts so much longer and is damn good!

The best product to use is baby oil, its bout 50p and works a treat. It really makes it shine like it was new! If it gets on the paintwork it just wipes off. I've used it for the past 6 months and just love the stuff cause it lasts forever!

What is best to use then in terms of looks and lasting. Iv used some spray on stuff, makes it look VERY good but only for a few days.
Looking for stuff to last long time.
How long does the Auto glym Bumper care last for? Same goes for baby oil.
Thanks
Werner

Don't know about baby oil, but i have used autoglym bumper care.
Only seems to last about a week, also found it will come off if you have to re-wash for any reason.
