Hi All.

Just wanted to share my experience in the hope that it will help others. There is relatively little info on this model out there.

Bear in mind please that I am NOT a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination.

I decided I would install a dash cam in my car, it comes with a rear camera which you have to hardwire to the reverse light for it to operate. However.....

I couldn't make out the colours of the wires to the reverse lamp and due to my impatience guessed and wired the two wires the wrong way round. I didn't realise this until I started the car and put it in reverse and had messages on the car display saying ASR unavailable Hill Holder unavailable ABS unavailable.
It didn't click for me at first but after a lot of sweating and googling I found that the reverse light, abs asr and hill holder circuits, and the mass air flow circuit, are all on the same 5 amp fuse. Which is F35. I replaced said fuse and all was well again. had to plug in to obd to clear the maf fault.

I found the fuse box layout at autogenius.info.
I still don't know what colours the wires are and have aborted the install for the time being.

Hope this ridiculous episode can help somebody.

As far as I know, All the rear lights are controlled by the BCU, using the CANBUS - not with a simple relay system.

Is the camera meant to draw power from the reverse light? If so, you're playing a risky game - if you do this incorrectly you could fry the CANBUS & BCU, which will cost thousands of quid to sort.
