Can anyone help with a problem with my 2008 Bravo 1.6 multijet diesel, eco model with 105bhp with 96k on it now.

Around once a month whilst ten minutes into a journey the car will start to heavily smoke this will only last a couple of minutes at most. This is white smoke with a hint of blue and a strong smell to it.

After a couple of minutes everything will be back to normal. No error lights are displayed.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this

Thanks in advance

White smoke is a sign of the turbo. On its way out ?
Is your power dipping ?

Not necessarily. White smoke is unburnt diesel; Why it is unburnt could be any number of reasons: turbo, injectors, timing, fuel pressure.

Machine did the FAP regeneration.
Aprox. time was 8-10 minutes and everything was ok after.

Power is not noticebly down, has run pretty much like I have had it for two years. I have always out the slow turbo spooling and lack of power down to it being the eco model
