Hi everyone, long story short there is some fuel leak under the hood. It should be easy to repair but obviously it had to happen on the bank holiday weekend, so I won't be able to get to the garage until Tuesday.

Anyone that had similar problems and can give some advise on how to stop the leak (if I should stop the leak?) to drive it 5 minutes to the garage?

Thanks!

Hi,
Could be a number of things. Fault finding leaks on modern high pressure direction diesel engines is dangerous. Apart from the obvious fire risk, a leak from the high pressure side can inject fuel under your skin if you get your hand close to it. This can cause all sorts of problems including necrosis and amputation.
I don't recommend you fault find unless you know what you are doing. Don't drive the car to the garage, it' not worth the risk of a fire.

From the video - that is way too much fuel pissing out to risk driving the car. Apart from the fire risk, the road will be covered in it - especially bad news for motorcyclists and other 2 wheeled road users. Get the car recovered.

Hi,

Any symptoms like:

1) Lag when pulling away
2) Black smoke when accelerating
3) Bad MPG

???
