Hi guys so the hand brake did only work on one wheel the right. Did notice a couple of days ago the left wheel got very hot went out to see what was wrong this morning and did see it that the hand brake didn't work at all on the left side. I managed to fix that and the arm that the hand brake wire is connected to moves freely and the hand brake now works on both wheels.

The thing is that the left wheel still gets very hot . I noticed a strange thing when took both calipers of and retracted the pistons , when I push down the brake pedal like 3 times the caliper I know is not faulty the piston goes out 25mm the one that maybe is broken only goes out 20mm. What do you think is it normal or should I buy a new caliper? Or can I somehow fix the caliper?

Time for refurbished calipers. I would get them both done. General rule is that you order ones from the likes of big red & pay a deposit & get that back after sending them your old ones.

Okej I guess that's true. The right one isn't that old so I think I go with only the left one.

i have refurbished the calipers 2 times ( only seals, not the piston ) they are good for about 1 year.
This time i opted for new e-bay calipers.. should arrive in a few days. I will post back if they fit ..etc

I've also found that my handbrake cables had a small nick in them.. so they are probably rusted on the inside and worn.
I have also placed on order for genuine Fiat handbrake cables (i found them o be just as cheap as other good quality ones ~18 euro/side)

I placed a order yesterday at Mr auto for 1caliper. Now I don't understand why I didn't order new cables to I should have changed those.

Any update on this aurick86?

Sorry for not updating this, here it goes:
-i have received the eBay calipers and they seem slightly different from the OEM (so they are not refurbished).
-they fit right up and worked great after a few bleeding procedures ( should have bleed them before bolting up to the hub, using a piece of wood as a spacer so not to push the piston out). I think there might still be some air in them maybe in the screw?! But the Brakes work great now. The difference is amaizing,

I made the right choice in replacing the handbrake cables, they were both pinched... It was not the most difficult job, but i did do the work with the car on a auto repair trench /pit (whatever it's called). I did need a 10mm ratcheting wrench to loosen up the cables under the center console.

How did you perform the bleeding? Classic method with pumping brake pedal (two person method) or did you use something different?

I am having similar issue as you (posted already in Stilo forum) posts no. 33 a 40.
Shortly: siezining left rear caliper and broken cable boots, changed cables, caliper was still siezing, changed caliper, left rear wheel is still getting hotter than right one.
When I rotate the wheel, low griding noise between pads and rotor is audible. However on the right side there are just two points where pads hit the brake rotor and wheel moves more freely (even the bolt at handbrake leveler is unscrewed and there is no tension in the handbrake cables).
