Hey Guys,
I'm still getting boost faults on my 2007 1.9 Bravo. So far I've cleaned the MAP and MAF, replaced the boost solenoid, blanked the EGR and looked for hose splits (none). My latest theory is that the flat spots and error codes and being caused by sticking turbo vanes. Apparently this is a problem experienced by Alfa owners with the same engine. On one of their forums I found that a number of owners had solved the problem using Mr Muscle oven clear et to clean their turbos (lots of stuff on Google). You basically fill you turbo with oven cleaning foam using aquarium hose down the EGR entry to turbo (hot side, cast iron).
Just to make sure I'm filling it correctly can some point me in the right direction of where I should be putting the aquarium hose? Is it down the long pipe (with the two hard to reach bolts) that connects to the EGR i.e.
away from the EGR down towards the turbo? Obviously keen to get it right!
Any other ideas are hugely appreciated!
