I want to put led strip on my headlights and using them as day running lights lights.
But I don't want to splice the connections into the lighting wire because I want the leds on at all times.
I want them to come on when I turn the ignition on/off.
So does anyone know where I can splice into or where in the engine fuse box I can patch into

I've sorted it now and they look the ****** . Cant wait to see them at night time ...
thanks for all your help.. lol

How did you wire them up?
First off all I bought waterproof car led strip.. the cables where to short on them so I soldered some extra length on them Screenshot_20170326-080052.jpeg

Then I positioned them on the lights where I wanted.. starting from the drivers side I run the cables under the front grill and earthed one wire to the bonnet release.

I then spliced into the live cable on the passengers side and use a waterproof connector to join them

After that I earthed the passenger side to any earthing bolt that's near.

Now came the wiring to ignition only..
I found the fuse that I needed to tap into and put the wire to that..

I have bought a proper connector from eBay to tidy it up but I'm still waiting for it.

Now we are all ready to stick the light strips to the light lenses..
Good old clear silicone ?
I put masking tape down the front edge of the lights, not to get overspill on the glass.

Then I just run a bead of silicone down the inside edge and pressed in the light strips.. smoothing it off as I went making sure they were flat to the glass.

And presto.. lights that come on and off with the ignition only.

I like the install... not a big fan of the look.
Each to their own aurick86
I bet yiu would change your mind if you stood in front of the car and just looked at them.
When the Leds are off you can't really see them unless you look. But when they are turned on "PAW" in your face and look awsome.. lol ??

They need to be E marked, only come on with the engine running and go off with headlights on.
Have you informed your insurance company of this illegal modification?
