Hey all i am looking for some advice on improving my BHP, Torque ,Fuel Consumption so am looking at either a chipset tuning box or remapping and am confused  some say a race chip will do the job however others say for the engine parts etc its better and safer to get an engine remapping as this is the only true way to improve over all i have a Bravo 2007 MK II [2006-2016] Hatchback 1.4 1368ccm 66KW 90HP any help on this decision would be greatly apperciated (y)

Hi,
A remap is the only way to go.
The plug in boxes just mess with the signals to the ECU. Typically this results in over fuelling due to higher fuel pressure. This can cause damege to the high pressure components. Some are better than others, but all are a bit of a bodge. Confusing the issue is that the ECU reports improved or unchanged fuel consumption because it uses the reported fuel pressure in the calculation and this is lower than the actual pressure.

on the NA 90 hp bravo it's realy difficult to get any real improvement.... i would say somewhere 5-7 hp.

Not worth it.
