I have a 2008 bravo 1.6 multi jet
Car was in for mot last week ,and everything was fine just a track rod end .
Tried too start the car on Sunday and nothing it was like the immobiliser was on . It would start but then cut out after a few seconds . Monday morning tried again this time car started very laboured but started , but when I pressed the accelerator pedal nothing car was still running but there was nothing happening when I pushed the pedal eg no revs .
Does anybody have any ideas what it could be please ?
Thanks in advance

Thanks guys for the responses . Based in the Scottish Borders . One of my pals has a ecu reader so going too have a check tomorrow after work . I'll let u know how it goes

Most likely be the throttle body, they are fitted with the electrical connector upside down so water gets in and kills them. Done a number of them

It's a diesel! no throttle body.

A code reader would be good, but somebody with MES and a ELM327 would have more chances of success.

I would suspect something like:
-MAP/MAF
-low pressure fuel pump
-air shut off valve (should be checked visually that it does open).
-accelerator pedal position sensor.

It's a 1.6 multijet, I assure you it has a throttle body. Worked in a dealer for nearly 20 years and have replaced several of them on that specific model. Not just throttle bodies in general. They fill with water and then won't open so shut off air supply. Almost all modern diesels have throttle bodies.
