techardware cool! mind exchanging files with me? would like to do a conpare and contrast to what im currently running.. will PM you the download link for my file

I see people used several different cables to flash the ECU. My question is, do any of them can flash the complete ECU memory? I know MPPS can only flash the data block (128K). What about Galetto or KESS?

Another question: how quick is KESS in flashing? MPPS takes about 40 seconds, but I know from my own hacking of ME7.9.10 that it is possible to do it in ~18 seconds. So I wonder how the other products are like...

Hi Friend, goods!!

Sorry but I stay a long time out and dont follow this forum about this.

If you want I can send some maps for you.

Tks

hello guys, i have a file from 1.4T jet but when i load in the xdf you post it show weird maps like it have the wrong xdf. any solution for this?
also what you guys do to check sum the file ?

Hi, xdf file is for specific ECU type (0261....), layout of maps is different in each ECU type. Solution is to locate map in your binary by observing surrounding area of map (~pattern match), it will look similar in all ECUs. Checksum can be done by ECM titanium (open + save) or just by kess interface.

thank you for your reply . i appreciate the help.
im newbie for this if you could give me little example on how its done it will be great.
one last thing how can i rescale the injectors if i need to use bigger one .
and where to put the new injectors deadtime?
Im trying to find this file any definition for 3 months now without any luck.

here is the file :

Hi, i did use ECM titanium for this and 'famous' alfa romeo winols definition. This is how it can be done:
1 Locate map you want to modify in alfa ols file. Using description (sadly in German) or aviable bosch documentation for ME7.3.??. In both cases you get 'codeword' of map and from alfa ols => get address of your map.
2 Locate nearest map which ECM titanium also known, like ignition timing etc. So now you can open alfa rome tune in ECM titainum and go to address where your map is and get address difference to ignition timing map (or any other which is nearest). Observe how data around your map look in 2D mode.

3 Use ECM titainum again with your bin, locate ignition map in your binary and use address difference from previous step. In that area again in 2D mode try to find same shapes as they are in alfa rome file. If you get match, you have located your map successfully.
4 now you have to define map in tunerpro; basic formula for map layout in binary file is x size , y size, x scale[mostly WORDs], y scale, map data. This help to locate your map also (from ols you known dimensions).

I'm not exepert on tjet tunning, i only known, there are coefficients to translate voltage from MAP sensor (A and B: y=Ax + B) - if you want to use 3Bar MAP. However i do not known where and how injectors parameters are defined. There is injection pulse correnction table (quite big one, so good resolution -> map / rpm), maybe that map can be used if everything else fails (injectors have similar parameters if they are not butchered like 'dacaping'). Better option is to use bosch documentation for MExxx ECU and find injector parameter maps.

thanks a lot ill try the way you said. ill try to use romraider for this too.
do you have any documentation to share so i can know more about the fuel models and ignition models for the ME7.9.10?

Hi new here looking for some help.

Does anyone know if the 2008 Grande Punto 1.4 16 valve Petrol 95 BHP engine with Bosh ME 7.6.3 ECU can be chip tuned and if so any contact details?

Thanks to all.

ok now i made some changes to the maps but i have no luck to raise boost nor desired engine torque

i copied the KFMIRL and KFMIOP from the esse esse file as a start.
changed the following
KFTVLDST
KFLDBHN
KFLBTS
LAMFA
KRKTE for bigger injectros
KFMDBGRK
MDMAXNMOB
MDMAXNMOT
KFPZU
KLMIMAX
KFPED
KFWDKMSNVP

now as soon as the car hit 1 bar of boost the throttle close to 39% and i cant figured out

That's boost cut... means there still is a limiting value in one of the other tables.

hi can any body send me a link for a trusted working kess or any other tool supports our car
and how to get the map on my ECU (my car is already tunned but i need to fine tune it (map is too lean and blown my engine :( )

hi i have cheap china aliexpress 50$ clone (use to cost 100). With kess you can read content of ECU using bootloader mode (you have to open ECU to enable boot mode) and write ECU using OBD interface.
But i don't think ECU is problem, it is very hard to create lean maps (tuner must be like complete idiot to do this), maybe your injectors are on the limit / fuel pump is on limit or fails.
I did also destroy engine because lean condition (fuel pump on limit) and from that time, i now always use wide-band AFR as a first step :)

There is main limiter called just 'meine kennfelder' in mito damos. No codeword for this map!

it was lean as i used to use water/methanol injection but i have removed it now :bang:
i am now using bigger injectors (from opel corsa opc) and it is running very rich and loosing power now
how do you connect your wide band o2 sensor?

and yes my ecu is already opened by the tuner

Question:
Say i read the ECU in boot mode.
I make changes to it... do i need to write is back with boot mode? or can it be done via OBD?
