Hi guys,
How's it going everybody, I'm new to this website, and I'm also new to Fiat's. I bought my Bravo TJet 150 about 4 months ago, and it was running brilliantly until i started getting a vibration through the car the last two weeks. It usually only happened at high speeds, and worsened when I used the accelerator.

Having taken it two local garages, it is definitely the front driveshaft that is the problem - has anybody had this problem before?

Also, the garages can't find the part to order and are telling me to go to a dealership. This is a problem for me as I'm currently not too great financially, and I may not be able to afford the part from a dealership. Can anybody recommend a good place online to order parts?

Any other general advice or recommendations would be really appreciated, I'm not too experienced in this kind of thing and I want to make sure I sort everything out properly without getting ripped off.

Thanks everybody!

Ciaran

Come on flisko... would have expected better from you..

Search eper. Fiat part catalogue, if this site doesn't have it for bravo ( I don't know, haven't checked yet) then pm me and I can sort you a full eper for all models.

If driveshaft is knackered then replacement is a must, or you risk damaging the gearbox, hubs and other parts in the loop of all this, I had a bent shaft and ruined my hub along with shaft seals.

Try shop4parts.com to buy parts online. Call them if it's not on there website, I got my replacement driveshaft parts from them. You may just get away with replacing the tripod bearing and re greasing if it's not left or used too much at the moment. The more you use it, your likely to damage the cup and the parts bill will then be alot more then as you needs the inner driveshaft parts/cup!

The bearing is only about £15 and £5-10 for grease. If the cup isnt damaged it's actually quite an easy job removing the outter part of the driveshaft and bout 2-3 hours labour which u'll be the biggest part of your cost.

This theard is very good: https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=335374

Ah brilliant, thanks guys, that's all really good advice. I'll look up these websites and try to find the part I need.

I should be okay labour wise too, I've got a mechanic who said he'll only charge 1-1.5 hour tops
