Hi all,
Can you bleed the cooling system on a MK2 Bravo 150 T-Jet (2009)? There is a clicking sound when the heater fan is on the No 1 setting only. It's not the fan as it's ok on settings 2 to 4 but I suspect the cooling system could need bleeding? I have just had a new water pump fitted but the noise was there before I had this changed. Any ideas?

Also, do Haynes do a manual for this car? I can't find it on Haynes website. I had one for the MK1 bravo but I gave that away when I sold the car.

Thanks in anticipation.

It doesn't sound like this is related to the cooling system to me. Does the ac work?

It's a self bleeding system.

If the noise is only there with the fan set to 1 then it's a problem with the fan. Remove it and clean the dirt inside it (y)

Hi, the AC was last time I tried it but I will check. Thanks for responding.

Stuart.

Hi,
If it's the fan that's at fault then why is it OK on settings 2 to 4?

Just wondering why you think that? Thanks for replying though.

Coolant flows all time. There is no valve etc to control the coolant flow.

You can only control one flap to direct the air flow from the heater or the cold air.

So, if there is noise on fan speed 1, it's a problem related to the fan.

"Why it's ok on speed 2 to 4 ?"

Because the fan spins at much higher rpm and you cannot hear the noise or the much higher air flow moves the leaves/dirt away from the fan.
