My dashboardcomp. has begun a new live on its own. Normally it is set on "instant consumption", but suttenly it has started to change menu on its own. Anyone had that problem?, and found a solution!

This might just be the switch / dirty contacts. See if all teh wires are still properly plugged in under the cowling. My only experience is that my car had a new unit fitted prior to buying it as the dealer thought it was faulty. I never noticed any problem on the test drive. I hope you resolve it without too much cost and trouble.
