Hello Bravo owners,

I need some technical help from you in order to verify that my newly fitted suspension kit (front) has been correctly assembled.

If you look at my attached picture, then you will notice that the Strut is NOT in the center of the top mounting/bearing kit:

Can anyone of you provide me some technical drawings or pictures of how it's supposed to be assembled?

I look forward hearing from you, thank you.

Anyone here that can help me with information about how to fit shock absorber + top mountings?

I did my Panda 100 which is a similar set up. The top mounts just sit atop of the strut but do have to go in the right way round. From memeory I think it would be difficult to get this wrong there is a big rubber tab that has to be set right to ensure this, but as the hole is oboval rather than round you would have to be dense to mess it up. I can see what you mean about the thing not being central, but there seemed to be a lot of free movement in kine so I am not convinced there is anything wrong. If the car is jacked up or the steering turned the struts move quite a lot so this amount of non central positioning may well mena nothing.

If the car steers smoothly from side to side, does not knock or groan is probably fine.

I always have a full retrack done after any suspension work and if you do this a decent tyre centre they will soon point out if things are not right.

I have been very impressed with Holborn STS tyre experts in this respect and have had a lot of work on different cars done by them at sensible money. Bad tyre wear is now a thing of the past which speaks for its self.

If you use the ePer files from this forum you will be able to see tech drawings of the car to verify if the top mounts are correct. You can also get the info from google. I think KYB supply a drawing of the correct fitting of the top bush.

I changed my front suspension yesterday and I can confirm it supposed to look like this.

to me it kind of looks like the nuts that tightens the mount to the sprig is a bit loose.
