Can abody tell me which engines have which gearboxes?

Im looking a GP or Bravo next
I seriously want to avoid gearbox issues if i can

Since the Mk2b Punto with the 1.2 8v had the C514 gearbox if im correct
Im sick of how rubbish they are
I seriously wanna avoid the M32 as well (brothers astra has it.... piece's of shi....)

Ta folks

bravo 120T or any of the diesels are your best bet, none of them have the m32

grande sporting diesel has it though

Not strictly true. The Dualogic is an M32 gearbox and is fitted to both the Petrol and Diesel examples.

It wouldn't surprise me if all the 6 speeds are M32's tbh.

I stand corrected, thought the M32 was manual only, AFAIK it's only the 150T that had it, none of the diesel manuals do (C530 box)

This thread shows what gearboxes most models use. I've had 3 cars with the M32 and done many miles problem free, although the transmission is a wear and tear part! some better than others but also comes down to how it's been driven and looked after especially with the M32.

My misses 150Tjet will have its 2nd gearbox oil change in the new year.

The new tipo also has the 120Tjet engine and 5 speed box [emoji106]

Also be careful when buying a Tjet of the driveshafts:

https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=335374

these are the same across the 120-150Tjet engines and are a common costly problem.

As also is the climate control breaking which cost more than both a gearbox and driveshaft repair!!

And finally the brake calipers tend to seize if not serviced regularly.

All that said I would recommend the bravo it's a great car [emoji106] this looks like a nice example

You want the 5 speed. The six speed is pooh because it started off as a 5 speed and when they added the sixth gear they didn't make the shaft bigger. It also has a plastic bearing on sixtg

Don't worry about the climate control issues, I can sort All of the climate control probs for £150 all up. Doing one on Saturday for someone from the forum

Okay
Reverse on the LEFT (near 1st and 2nd)
Sounds alot like the M32 Gearbox

The Reverse on the right (near 6th) sounds like the 5 speed but now 6 speed box
Which derives from a punto?

So finding a 5 speed is proving difficult - as i would seriously need a petrol (Not diesel which seems to be alot of around me)

hmmmm
maybe i should just go GP
but i do love the looks on the outside of them....
Stereo's alot harder to change tho :(
