What you are doing of course, is attracting attention to yourself. Some of that attention will come from the Police. How long before you get fed up with being stopped every time you go out.

Vehicle Lighting Regulations state white lights at the front, red at the rear. Exceptions are indicators and reverse lights. So you could get a ticket demanding that you rectify it, then pay an MOT centre to verify it is fixed, then present that to a Police station, within 10 days. If you then reinstate them, next time, it is on record and you get a fixed penalty.

The image you think you are projecting, may not be the one others think they are receiving. It's all about choice. Good luck.

I suppose that works. Just be aware that anywhere with public access is still covered by the legal requirements.
