Greetings fellow Bravo owners!

This is more of an annoyance than an issue, but would like to know if it happens to anyone else:

My Bravo is fitted with the Auto Climate Control. I've found that, when driving for 20-30mins, the Inside Air Recirculation turns off and admits fresh air inside.

I always leave it in the on position, as air quality is pretty bad. The manual says that the AQS system will enable outside air after 15mins of circulation, but I've always ensured that isn't enabled.

When it turns off, I can't override it and have to wait a minute or two while I breathe in lorry fumes :yuck:, after which it goes back to normal.

Firstly, is this a normal feature because Fiat thinks we only drive their cars in nice European air? Haha

If not, is there a way to disable this 'feature'? I want the air recirculation to remain on at all times, unless I change it myself.

Thanks! :)

I expect so. I remember reading something about it - basically you should change the air inside the car every 15-20 minutes, regardless or the quality of the air outside, otherwise you risk misting up/falling asleep.

Don't forget that most of the nasty city particulates will be mopped up by the cabin filter (providing its been changed on schedule).

"Nice European air" - what's that? :)
I think this is how it's meant to be, mine does the same...

Air that's free of haze, smog & dirty diesel lorries belching black smoke. Haha. Thanks for the message!

Ah, I don't think my filter has been changed in quite a while. Will get that checked because I can usually tell immediately by smell when it sucks in outside air.

As for the misting up/falling asleep, if that really was the case, I think the majority of the drivers in Asia would've crashed by now :p
