Hi folks,

I hope someonecan help. I recently purchased a fiat bravo t-jet sport 120 from adealer. Drove the car away and had an issue with the speed limiterkicking in -took it back and mechanic cleared fault. Had the car for 3-4days and its suddenly developed a lag, initially between 3-4th gear.

It feels likethe fuel isn't getting through and no throttle resp as if running out of fuel.Took it to my local garage who did diagnosis and found nothing. Now stillhave problem and have to go down to 4th gear sometimes as no throttle resp in5th and 6th gears which happens intermittently. Having a mare as the garage Ipurchased it off refuses to acknowledge there is a fault and now left car at amain fiat dealer now. If it was a egr valve problem I guess that wouldhave been picked up on diagnosis so no idea. Any help much appreciated

Check the brake light switch, might need replacing, Bit awkward in the footwell but it's very much a diy job. I was very proud of myself.

Get someone to check if your brake lights are staying on after you've released the pedal.

Any news / resolution on the issue?

Grays Garage in Warwick have stated the switch as the problem so I do hope this is the problem. I am due to pick the car up 20.4 so will keep you posted that the car does not develop the same problem.

The swith was the problem so thank you Maimod. Apparantly this problem is not picked up via a non fiat garage as did take the car to a non fiat dealer

Hi,just joined as new member,I have a similar problem with my T-jet,feels as if its fuel starvation,have to change down to a lower gear,as if going up hill,all the time.Anyone had this problem?Siennaman.
