Hi,

Could you guys please tell me what temperature the coolant temperature sensor should be reading after the engine warms up?

My spark plugs show that the engine is running a bit rich, and on a long trip i had MES showing the coolant temperature.. it was only 75-76 degrees Celsius.
That to me seems a little low.
I can find thermostats for the Bravo that open at 80 or 88 degrees C.

The temp would not rise or fall more than a 2 degrees and the dash temp gauge usually stays at the correct position ( the middle ).

The engine does feel like it's taking a little longer to warm up.. but not to much .. so maybe the thermostat is not 100% opened.. but it surely is not closing all the way.

Hi I am Driving a Bravo 1.4 T-Jet 2008 Manual version in Singapore. My coolant temp is generally around 76-82. Stays within the 80 range when idling or at traffic lights but generally stays around 76-78 while travelling on expressways.

Your temps are fine.

T-Jet engine use 80C thermostat.
88C thermostats are used on 1.4 N/A and diesel engines.

Hi guys!

I also have a Bravo T-Jet. I've noticed that coolant temperatures drop to around 69/70 degrees celsius when I go on a long downhill without pressing the gas pedal and the air temperature has been around 10. Is this normal or is this a fault on the thermostat?
