Hello !
I am thinking of installing aftermarket HID xenon headlights on my Bravo (2011 model active)and i have some questions. First of all the system need to be canbus?? If it is not will i get message for broken bulb? Also i have read to fiat forum threads that some people have problem installing them . They say the hole is too small something like this. So i need to buy specific xenon kits ??? Also i have found some very cheap kits about 30 euros (6000K H1) . Do you think that i will have problem with these cheap kits ?? Your advice will be very helpful for me ! Thanks in advance

Thank you !!

Hi I have hids in my stilo but my advise go for the 35w 6000k and ones with error/flicker free. Dont go for the 55w as they tend to blind on coming cars if you do you will need to adjust your beams dramatically

Thanks for your answer . Actually i was thinking 55W and i believe that because the halogen lumps are 55w i won t have canbus problem. Any HID kit will fit the hole?? The cheap ones have much difference than the expensive . For example the 30 euros kit has big difference with the 90 euros kit ? Thanks

I have had both kits dearer ones on my last car and cheap ones on my stilo and yes any kit as long as they match the bulbs you wish to replace will fit and but I would choose the error free kits to guarantee that no errors will appear as not sure if the ones which dont have the non error system will give the problem of bulb failer on your car I bought some sunwolf hids for my stilo at £15 off ebay and work fine but I do no you get get the error free connectors if this doez happen for about £7 off ebay aswell hope this helps you regards andy

Other opinions about 35W or 55W ? If i choose ballast 55W i will blind other cars ?? I was thinking of buying 6000 k H1 with 55W ballast . What do you think?

Hi

I fitted 55w 5000k HID's to my Bravo. I also fitted 35w 6000k to the Punto I used to own. The Bravo swap over from the halogens was easier than fitting them to the Punto, much quicker. The actual springs that held the halogens was far easier to get the HID bulb wiring through.

I opted for 5000k because as the HID bulb gets used it tends to go from the white spectrum to the slightly blue spectrum plus a brighter light output.

I have never once been flashed by oncoming drivers even on winding country roads, the crisp clean beam cut off of the projector lens is key here, there is hardly any stray light.

And I have had no issues with errors, although there is a chance of slight radio interference - I had that on the Punto but so far the Bravo has been ok on all radio frequencies.

I purchased both kits from here: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/

Morning, the general brand that most people install into their Bravos Hawk brand

I installed the following kit into my bravo with no issues ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Xenon-HID...L-BASE-BULB-/360396009228?hash=item53e946af0c ) i also have some pictures somewhere on where to fit the ballast!

The only thing youll need canbus stuff for is sidelights.

Stick to 6k and lower as the higher up the kelvin spectrum you go the less light is emitted
