I am about to remove the stereo due to problems with its display not illuminating. However when i do I am going to need its codes, is there anyone out here that can help with codes or to i have to play roulette with the websites claiming to unlock them within minutes etc for £10

You have Blue&Me? I think you can get your code by going into settings and it's somewhere in there.
Never needed a code for mine and it's been disconnected from the battery many times.

it SHOULD be fine,
only issue is if it's a replacement unit ( not the one put in the car at the Factory)

I removed it eventually as a clip had broken. It didnt require the code as many said which is surprising, as i found the original sticker with it on. However now the car has failed in other electrical ways. Fault codes galore popping up each day ever since main agents cleared the service lights. I have posted about i but as yet no answers
thx for the help for this though. p.s. I didnt change the stereo as i have blue and me and use it all the time, and to be honest the stereo is fine enough for me, I have two kids in the car at all times so never use it properly.

THERE IS NO USER CODE FOR THE RADIO
It is registered via the CANBUS to the body computer, and will only work in your car.
