Hi

Recently bought a Bravo 1.9 multi-jet 120hp. 105k on the clock.
Having trouble locking into gears and having to put the clutch pedal to the floor to select a gear.
Have been told that these cars can have either a standard flywheel or a DMF.

Couple of questions:
1. How do I know whether its DMF or standard flywheel?
2. If the 'clutch ' is gone, does it always require a new flywheel?

Car is brilliant apart from this but considering its worth no more than £2k is it worth investing the best part of £1k on a clutch?
Have read that DMF's don't last very long.
Car is used to commute each day to work, about 66 miles each day plus private driving

Hi, and welcome:)

any issues othervthan awkward gear selection / retention,?

no slipping ( worn out)

strange noises/ smells,

generally DMF's "chirp" when they are badly worn..,

1st off check the fluid levels for clutch reservoir, ( look for leaks.., )

some cars are prone to gearbox wear..,
