My 165 had been sounding very harsh under acceleration and after much searching i decided it must be the egr valve, so i hunted for its location , removed it , it was stuck shut , cleaned and refitted.
Why fiat why is it in such an inaccessible place , the torx heads on the screw bolts are barely deep enough and the bottom bolt is almost impossible to turn because you cant see it and it is so tight in there , spaghetti arms would be of benefit.
Along with oil filter above the drivers side driveshaft and sump plug above the under body cover so oil pours all over it , these cars really are a pig to work on. A bit of thought fiat and you may of seen more of these on the rd.
Otherwise , when its running fine its a great wee car , tons of oooommmph
Also the engine light has come on and after an amount of time the turbo isnt boosting ?? if i get the light reset will the turbo operate as normal again ?
has anyone experienced this ?
