Hi,

My red oil light starting flashing constantly on the way home tonight and the message on my dash says change oil.

I've looked in the book and Fiat say that a flashing light means 'oil exhausted'. Does this just mean that it needs a simple oil change or is it more serious than that?

Does anyone know the going rate for an oil change? I'd attempt it myself but we're away this weekend and haven't really got the time!

Cheers in advance

If it is exhausted, there for fully degraded then (as far as my knowledge goes with only owning the t-jet version) I believe you need MES (software) along with a ELM cable and laptop to reset the oil light. This is separate from the service reset. This along with oil and filter change should help rectify the problem. Just realised you were asking about a garage doing the oil change... no idea as I have a different version of Bravo from you but oil changes themselves aren't overly expensive.... £30-40 tops? And make sure you ask them to reset the oil light as this isn't just a service reset operation, it requires more in depth tweeting of the ECU.
