Technical Bravo T-Jet 150 Startup issue.

EGR valve sticking? If you can access it (I don't know where it is on this engine) try giving it a tap with a small hammer next time it doesn't start. If that makes it start it will need cleaning or give it a good thrash now and then.
T-Jet does not have EGR valve.

did the car start eventually?

My t-jet does something similar:

-it struggles to start in the morning, and after it's been sat for 8-10 hours.
-it want's to start, then dies
-eventually starts but has no power.. so have to help it idle for 30+ seconds.
-if i try to get going it dies.

I have checked everything.. spark, fuel pressure, replaced, air filter, map sensor, cam and crank sensors, spark plugs, coils ( didn't buy them had a fiend with a GP with the same engine..same sensors.. no problems).
I have also used MES to read the values of different sensors... nothing out of the ordinary.

It always starts better after I run it until it's almost out of gas, then put some fresh gas. The next mornings it starts fine and i can get moving soon after, no more stalling.

Hi

I'm having same problem. Did you eventually solve this issue and how?

Might worth a try checking for a head gasket failure. I had a previsous punto that had a hard time starting in the morning and I find out it was head gasket that let water get into a cilinder over night.
Does your get pressure in the water circuit tubes when it get the right temperature? if so....

My wife's T-Jet had exactly the same thing for the longest time in winter. Normally an ECU reset (done at the dealers) would offer temporary relief (which to me suggests that it's an ECU learning issue).
Not seen the issue in a while though (as in: not seen it for a few years), so I can sadly offer no real advice. I don't know what the workshop did to make it go away.

Mine is a 1.4 turbo Jet 120 HP Lancia butt engine is also available in Fiat.
I had the same problem it is bad starting at temp below 7* C. It wast the battery in my case. Simply bad fuel 95 RON.
My girl friend tends to fill it up at the cheapest fuel pump around :) . As said no problems in summer, as from last week it is getting colder and yes the problem appears bad starting and stumbling/eratic engine, also smell of petrol. After a few seconds everything normal. The tank was 60 % full.
Went to another fuel station and fild it up with 95 Ron...............................This morning ........cold brr.............butt no problrm at all with the car

not the fuel quality, but the level in the fuel tank which is crucial. This is my observation.

@ edsel, In now have the tank nearly empty and still no problem, so in my case it is not the level but the quality
