Hi everybody,

I was replacing the original Visteon radio with a 2din Pioneer head unit. I bought the can bus steering wheel adapter (actually 2 of them) and none of them worked. After investigating a little bit, most of the adapters that are sold, have a description that says that it is for VDO / Blaupunkt OEM radio only, and no Visteon.

Did anybody find a way around this?

Which CANBUS adapter are you using? Could you possibly post a link if you got it off an online store like eBay?

One of them was Connects2 and the other one ACV. None f them work if Visteon was installed before.

I have the connect2 for my Pioneer AVH-X2650BT and it works fine now, the first few times i couldn't work out why it didn't want to work.

Firstly the Blue&Me module needs to be disconnected, on RHD drive cars it's above the Passenger Side dash compartment, should probably be the same on LHD cars

Then I had to go on my Pioneer and turn the Head Unit "off", in the sense I had to make sure it wasn't connected to any sources. I then went into settings and the Steering Wheel Control option became clickable. Selected it and then selected "with adapter"

I don't have the Blue&Me option, just the standard Visteon MP3 player. What I noticed as well, on the manual of the Canbus adapter, I am missing 2 buttons on the steering wheel as well (like a windows button and the headset button).
