Hi guys.

Apologies if this has already been raised but I've looked all over and can't find anything that fits.

I have a 58 plate bravo 1.9 multi jet diesel which I have had for about 4 months.

Everything on the car seems fine apart from an annoying squeak/high pitched noise that seems to be linked with when I press the accelerator.

It doesn't do it whilst stationary in neutral and I've had it with a mechanic who doesn't know what it is either

Any ideas? Let me know if you need more questions.

Thanks.

Hi Steve.

Thanks for your reply I'll get one on the way to work.

It's more of a squeak/grind rather than a whistle but hopefully the vid will some it up.

Thanks

Lee

Hi.

Excuse the random letters had to post at least 5 times before a link would work.

Video of the squeak attached.

Help???

I think the culprit is the oil/air segregator which is located at the right top of the engine block just under the engine cover. I am having similar sound and trying to sort it out with a new part.

Are you sure you only hear it when accelerating? Sounds a bit same like in a case someone had here 3-4 weeks ago. Check out a thread named: "Dashboard weird squeak (with video)"

I can't post url yet since I dont have enough posts :p

Just looked at it, I'll take a look at the fix.

But yes when I take my foot off the accelerator the noise seems to stop.
