Just put an Abarth turbo in and get it remapped. It will be more powerful than an Abarth engine

would changing the turbo on the Diesel be the same or are turbo diesels different? #turbonovice
Doubt it, diesel turbos are a lot bigger, you could find a bigger diesel turbo and fit it with a bit of custom work
Yeah i was looking at garret turbos but ide have to get a turbo yoda to explain what one to get, i dont mind doing most of the work.. only way to learn
I'm just about to fit a subaru wrx/evo 8 turbo onto my bravo and there's quite a lot of welding and tinkering, I'll try my best to keep everyone updated so hopefully people will do something similar so we can get some more bhp on this forum
Sillllllyy questions but if i was looking at a new turbo what would i have to look for?
Depends on the power gains you are looking for?
probably in the 250 range, so will any turbo will do or do i need one with similar diamentions
Look for a turbo car that has power similar to what you want and get the turbo off there or have a look at the garrett website, a td04 like mine would do nicely for that but boost wouldn't kick in till 3k so town driving will be very sluggish
Yeah i want boost comming in about mid range.. 2k really, a turbo is a turbo right? Whether it comes off a petrol or diesel... cool i will have a look around cheers!
Diesel turbos boost more than petrol turbos so you would probably have to get a boost controller, do a bit of research and you'll find out what you need ?
