Soooo, think I best get my credit card warmed up for a pasting shortly....

> Gearbox needs attention (M32), so it's off to WG Motorsport for new bearings, etc
> Front bumper to be resprayed and/or replaced
> New brakes to be installed (discs and pads) on all 4 corners as I think they are appalling
> Full Service
> MOT
> Replacement steering wheel or retrim (but I do like the look of the Abarth one)
> Replacement gear knob or retrim

MOT is not until April but obviously can get it done a month earlier so will prolly do that with a service.

The retrims aren't major but I hate seeing worn/crinkled leather so that can be as and when.

M32 gearbox is being done 10th March but has been showing signs of early symptoms for a while so it should be fine until then.

And as for the front bumper, well I might just wait for winter to pass. I know what will happen, I'll get it done and then some clown will drive into the front of Suzi.

Just as well I love my car, that's all I can say really! :D

Ok, so the list grows...

> Replacement gear knob or retrim
> New exhaust back box
> New handbrake plastic cover (the one that snaps in half)

I'll cross them off as I do them and upload any suitable pictures at the time :)

This is going to be my new gear knob.. thoughts?

And goes in on the 27th of this month for my gearbox bearings to be replaced... not cheap at £480. How much are you being quoted by WG Motorsport?

Can't remember to be honest! £450? Something like that but with worst case being £550? (again can't remember) - I spoke with Warren at WGM weeks ago to book it in.

Well, a few things have been happening since starting this thread!

> Gearbox needs attention (M32), so it's off to WG Motorsport for new bearings, etc
> Front bumper to be resprayed and/or replaced - NEW ONE ON ORDER DUE W/BEGINNING 30th March 2015
> New brakes to be installed (discs and pads) on all 4 corners as I think they are appalling - DONE
> Full Service - DONE
> MOT - DONE
> Replacement steering wheel or retrim (but I do like the look of the Abarth one) - DONE
> Replacement gear knob or retrim
> New exhaust back box - DONE
> New handbrake plastic cover (the one that snaps in half) - DONE

Bear with me :) ....

Front and rear pads with discs changed. Now running EBC Yellowstuff with Brembo discs. Even though they are still bedding in, the difference over the setup before is silly. I did think the set up before was utterly useless (couldn't verify the history or what I was running with) so to get something NEW and grippy is making a huge difference. The thought of going back to Spa is becoming a serious thought!

MOT and service sorted. No issues.

New back box fitted but it seems to sit too low, almost as if its designed for a non sport bumper. Not sure gameplan on this but definitely fitted the back box correct so its not quite suitable. Contemplating the supersprint backbox. Used to have one on my original Bravo and it sounded lovely (ie. non-evasive into the cabin).

Knocking sound identified to be suspension top mount but after a shed load of greasing, has reduced in annoyance. No integrity issues and it passed the MOT with no issues so for now its a 'feature'.

Steering wheel replaced with a new (but old) retrimmed wheel to same spec as original. Fitted that today. Looks great. Used Jack at Royal Steering Wheels for the retrim and he's done an excellent job. He did do some retrimming on my Fiat Coupe and the leather is so much better than the wafer thin crinkle cut Fiat grade. Replacing the wheel was an interesting one - was handy to have the new one free to use as referencing where to stick the screwdriver in (at what angle, etc) - for anyone interested, keep the handle an inch away from the wheel and inline with the stitch on the lower half of the wheel. I had the car without the battery overnight to ensure there was absolutely no power to the airbag system for removal. No issues. It was actually one of the easiest jobs I've done on a car for a while :D

I had heard that the airbag does come in 2 variants despite having the same product code for fitting but I experienced no issues with my existing airbag. On the upside, I did have another airbag come with the new wheel when I bought it for retrimming so knew I'd be covered either way. Think I may sell the wheel and airbag as I don't need them and someone else can get it retrimmed first before fitting - will make sure I don't have any wheel issues first just in case :)

One thing I would say is the wheel is slightly thicker than before, which for me isn't a concern as I have large hands but for those with dinky little digits, you might notice the difference between standard and retrimmed.

Well I've been working on the bumper today and it took about 5 hours to remove, transfer everything over and then refit. I wasn't exactly rushing and did have about 4 coffee stops but its was still a painstaking process. Not one I would recommend - nothing difficult as its all quite obvious but just a faff :bang:

Pictures to follow! :slayer:

How did you go about doing that handbrake plastic cover? Mine has also snapped. I can't figure out how to get it out. I'm scared of breaking something!

Might sound daft, but what tyres you got there lol. They look really square, rather nice. I used to have some on my bravo made the wheel look rather low profile. Got some pirellis on at the minute, good performance but they look rather fat.

Let your handbrake down.. place your finger behind it where the gap is and pull up hard.. itle work itself loose eventually.. be patient you wont break it
