The best thing about the t-jet 150bhp is that the engine/turbo is exactly the same as the grande Punto Abarth that's why it makes really good power when tuning.
Hello everyone,
I'm looking at buying a Bravo 1.9 120, currently own a Megane which comes with a few gadgets, however it can't hold water out so it needs to go!
Few questions for you experts:
Do they have any leaking issues, like the megane?
Are there any issues re: DPF on the above model
And what is this issue re: the climate control as i'd quite like to have it but not if it will just break!
Any replies are appreciated!
Thanks!!
If you get the 150 diesel, comes without a dpf.
How do I check whether it has DPF? Also, is 42 the best mpg you get? Is that on a motorway run or city? Not sure, all I know for certain, my 150 hasn't got one, which was a big buying point for me. Just done a trip to Wales from Leeds, averaged 56mpg. One happy chappy
...The advantage of the 1.9 120 Multijet is that it has a solid 5 speed gearbox. The others get 6 speed ones, and the one in the 1.9 150 in particular (Vauxhalls infamous M32 box) is a bit of a dog with an appetite for bearings at anything over 40,000 miles...
Both the 1.9 120 and the 1.9 150 use the C530 transmission, 5-speed in the 1.9 120 and 6-speed in the 1.9 150.

Hmm, that might explain why the failure rate of the 6 speed in the Bravo 1.9 150 seems lower than for cars with the M32 gearbox. However I was always of the understanding that the 1.9 150 used the M32 as well. Weird!
The 1.9 120 is still the safer bet I reckon.
I have the 165 and its slow , my mate beat me in his smart forfour. Anyway i didnt buy it for that , i just think any less power would inhibit easy progress especially short slip roads.
Was you going backwards?
I was racing audis and golf gtis on the way home.. 165 is slow my arse.
