Well i have about 15 years of experience driving on LPG and i can- say Fiat engines works perfect on lpg. I was afraid od turbo engines, but they also works great
50£ is 111litres of LPG in my country, and with my 120HP t-jet i make 1200-1300km or 750-800 miles, when i drive more carfully it goes 1500km/900+miles
Beat that diesel lovers
LPG is now 0.44£/liter or 0.63EU/liter
Petrol 95 otanes is 0.90£/l or 1.27EU/l
Would take you about 30,000 miles to break even on the investment of having the system fitted (assuming a per litre price of 65p and not taking into account LPG tends to get less mpg than petrol)

It can take far longer to break even on a diesel especially if you have a few diesel specific issues along the way but people still do. The other halfs DS3 with the mini/psa diesel in it does a spectacular 49 mpg. Pretty sure if we had a petrol version of the same car it would do at least 40 while having 30 bhp more and making significantly less racket. If we had bought it privately it would never ever ever break even it doesn't do the miles. As it is it's a company car and due to the ass backwards way the system works you get tax breaks for giving people cancer , so it's cheaper to have the wrong car.

Not technically true, a second hand diesel will still have a higher residual value than its petrol equivelent and generally depreciation is lower on diesels so the diesel still represents better value in that respect, LPG cars costs are comparible to that of a diesel but don't tend to hold their value sometimes even fairing worse then a standard petrol.
Any car can break down so it's not fair to assume all diesel will suffer catastrophic engine failures or problems, but if buying new and keeping for 3 years both would be covered by a warantee anyway.
Yes, diesel is about 0.84£ per liter.
Well generally, for me petrol+lpg is more cost effective than diesel. On work i drive only diesel mostly VW gorup 1.9tdi and 1.6 tdi, and with my style of driving i get average 7l/100km or cca 40mpg, and that is 6£/100km. With same power t-jet+LPG and identical driving style i get 3.9£/100km and that is almost 50% less money
