That is impressive. If I drive from where I am, Bathgate West Lothian to Albert Dock in Liverpool it takes me just under half a tank.
Rafsteve have you had yours remapped?
I think mine is in need of a very good service and new air filter, which I will be fitting Sunday ?

Indeed i had mine remapped last year  and i gave the common and intake as a previous owner had used far to much redex to clean the engine and gunked it up

Awesome. I would say in mine for normal driving to work etc I get around 40mpg and around 50mpg on a long motorway drive.

So extra 10mpg that you get in your car for a motorway drive would probably be about right I would say.

I really want to get mine remapped but just don't have the money for it at the moment - got quoted by a garage near by for £200 to get 205bhp. I think I worked out I would make the money back in fuel after 2.5 - 3 years.

I had a new DMF and clutch fitted and I'm now getting 48mpg. On a good road to a place about 25 miles away the journey averaged at 65mpg. So, I think the mpg is dependant on the road of course, but also not sure if the DMF/clutch would improve this either, but looks to have done so.

Where did you get that done and how much if you dont mind me asking?

It was under warranty from my dealer, but I did get a quote from a local garage and it would have been £700 for the DMF and about £1k for the DMF and clutch.

45mpg combined!?

Currently see 60mpg ish on the 8 mile town driving I do 6x a week up and down hill with a small section 50mph zone.
Often see over 70mpg when doing a motorway trip :) (these are the computer readings though not actually calculated)

Mine does have a DPF delete + remap though (y)

I suspect your trip computer is being confused try doing a brim to brim test instead

Last time I brimmed the tank I did 600 miles and still had a 1/4 tank left. Cruise control set to 75mph speedo. 90% of that motorway driving too :)
And my current town driving I get around 250 miles off 22-23 litres but I do also avoid peak times which will help a lot :)
works out around 50mpg town driving. Still, not complaining from that! :)

My average fuel bill a month is around £300.

I do around 110 miles a day commuting to and from work and 95% is motorway usage.

Ill happily whizz up and down at 85 and after 400 miles, ill have about 1/4 of a tank. This past week I've been sticking around 56-58 mph and after 4 days on and doing 440ish miles, I've done just over half a tank and averaging around 57MPG according to the trip computer.

Takes a few extra minutes on my journey but cheaper on the pockets.
