Hi all.
I have the dreaded peeling leather steering wheel as alot of have here, has anyone used any cheap ideas to tidy their wheel up? Im wanting to trim of the ridge of leather. Has anyone out there tried this. Money's to tight to do a full refurb. Thanks
Oh, ive checked thru all the threads but cant see any that says about a D.I.Y. job.

There's no easy DIY job possible on this. either refurb, or replace wheel rim.

If you're really poor you can buy the kit and refurbish it yourself but it's not gonna be the same result as a pro:

look for it on ebay if you want faster shipping.

Just use it as is until you get the money. Don't waste money on anything but refurb.

Just get a steering wheel cover from Halfords for about a tenner. Mine had the same problem and the cover does the job perfectly. You'll forget it's even there after a couple of days. I just got a black
'leather' cover and it's dead on :)

If you really care about your Bravo, do it properly!
Just save some bucks and put real leather forget about the cheap stuff..
I spent 120Euros, got my steering wheel, handbrake and gear knob done.
Now it looks and feels better than the original.

That looks class. I'm getting rather fed up with my steering wheel cover so would like to get it done properly.

Is the cheapest option here in the UK just to buy the kit and get someone to fit it?

I've just paid £120 for a full wheel refurb. Rather than be without a steering wheel, I bought a spare from ebay which came with its own airbag and got that retrimmed.

Now the plan this afternoon is to get it fitted :) car had been without a battery connected overnight so I'm hopeful I won't get a face of airbag!

Here goes nothing....
