Ever since my wife acquired her Bravo there's been this constant and periodic whirring noise coming from the back of the glovebox. It's especially noticeable when you're just sat in the car and everything is quiet. Doesn't seem to be linked to or causing any problems but it's pretty annoying and I want to know: is this normal?

It sounds just like a tiny electric motor (like a water pump) but it's switching on and off like once every second. I've looked under the bonnet at this area but I can't hear anything outside of the car.

Don't take this as gospel, as this is my first post, but I too have a Bravo which makes the same sort of noise from the glovebox area.

I believe it's related to one of the motors that opperates the heating/ventilation system. In my case it's the motor that swtiches the air flow between feet/head/screen, as the plastic gear attached to it has sheared off, leaving the motor confused/spinning periodically.
