Hi Guys

My fiat bravo has had an error display on my dashboard "Check stop right sidelight" Now I know that its the Brake Light which has now been changed.

Still I have the same Issue.

Any Ideas?

If you lock the car with the key fob pressing twice and holding for a few seconds and then unlock it keeping the button depressed again for a few seconds it aparently resets the ecu then you start the car as normal it should be self clearing.. if not check other bulbs (y)

If uv just changed the bulb now ,put ur foot on the brake ,will reset the warning light

Yeah when mine went ,changed bulb then turned ignition and still the light was there ,put foot on brake once and cleared the warning light

Didnt work, Might just take it down to the garage and see if they know what the problem could be.

Did you do the right bulb?

yea no luck, weird thing is

both brake lights works however when i take my foot off the brake the left side will stay on slight longer than the right (right side will cut out) ?????????? not sure whats going on there.

could be a fuse maybe?

Where did you get the bulb from as i had a similar issue with an led one, it all worked fine when i got a new one from halfords :/

I got the bulb from a local shop my last resort:

is going to change both brake with - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231084264082?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

by the way does fiat bravo have two brake lights on each light... when i opened the light i noticed it had two bulbs on each side and one thin bulb in the middle.

yeah ive ordered PHILIPS VISION PLUS P21/5W BULBS X4

and 2x Osram Ultra Life Tail Light Bulbs Rear Lamps Genuine

so basically all the rear bulbs will be changed - hopefully this will clear the message could be that :

1) the bulb i replaced it with now is cheap and not the right type
2) could be a connection issue

so will update it few days.

twice now when i have changed the offside stop light, it has stopped the sidelight working
no amout of bulb changing made any difference until it decided to just work again
last time, i made sure all lights were turned off before changing and it worked fine...thinking it must be a canbus issue

Just in-case there is any confusion..

Yes it has 2 brake light bulbs either side, AND two sidelights.
HOWEVER the brake light bulb also acts as a sidelight.

Got caught out on this when I got a sidelight warning a couple of weeks ago.

when you got caught out did you just replaced it with a normal brake bulb ? because im aware they is 2 brake bulbs and 1 thin bulb which is tail light i think.

Regular Osram brake light bulb,P21 5W.

The small thin bulb in the middle is the indicator one.

If you change brake bulb and still having problem then you should check brakes pads (probably front). Check it, or the best way is to find good brake service.

There is a sensor or connector for brake pads and sometimes it can just plug off and u can change 1000 bulbs and wont find the solution.

That's a myth, not sure where you got that from.
