Just wanted to know if anyone else owning a Bravo, do you seem to suffer more cabin condensation more than most cars you have owned? Because having the car for a little while now, it does take a while for it to clear. My partners got a Panda that doe's not suffer as much and clears quicker, obviously it's the time of year also being colder is obvious, even so my Bravo doe's seem to take ages to clear the windscreen after starting and yes it is the Dynamic version with Dual automated climate control, I have changed the pollen filter also, but just takes too long! And the automated climate control always wants to put the air conditioning switch on when operated the button with the symbol "*" Doe's this act like a de-humidifier? I'm only guessing! Is it working correctly? Seems a bit restrictive the air flow also? The temperature seems fine though!

Hey

Yes the air con does help remove moisture so will help it clear quicker. You can buy anti-fog which you wipe on the inside of the glass to stop it getting misted up: http://reviews.halfords.com/4028/190512/reviews.htm

On a slightly more worrying note, check your coolant level as on a previous car my widescreen would get really misted up and turned out my heater matrix was leaking.

Our old Bravo had a terrible issue with condensation. With the "*" on, it was noticable but not too bad.

On cold mornings however, (less than around 2C), the air con compressor doesnt come on, and at this point it was dangerous.

After many visits to dealer and bodyshop to look for leaks we diagnosed a broken inlet air recirc actuator. Basically the flap was stuck shut. Once I opened it the problem went away instantly. There is a thread somewhere, it takes about 20 minutes to check and remedy if that is the case

I had the same issue, Mostly the inside front windscreen will be wet, I brought a dehumidifier but hasn't helped much.

Any other Solutions beside the cat litter tray lol

Seems, I'm not on my own with a condensation problem, something I'll have to live with it seems, it did seem a lot better today mind you it was slightly warmer and car has been standing out of use when I bought it could be a factor, nice to know that the air conditioning works as a de-humidifier though! Very happy with my machine generally!

I tried everything, the cat litter, even put a dehumidifier in the car for a few hours.

TO check properly its really easy, take the wipers off, and the scuttle panel (the black trim below the windscreen). In the centre, there is an opening with a flap on it, this is the cabin intake. If that flap is closed and does not open when you turn off the air recirc then it is goosed. I then opened it manually and on the very next journey the condensation stopped.

The fact that its ok now is simply the air con compressor dehumidifying (as you said), but I cant imagine that is an efficient thing to do!

Check the flaps are doing their jobs :
make sure the air changes direction as it should when pressing the direction buttons( windscreen-feet-chest)... if air is not blowing to the windscreen and it's blowing in the footwell .. the air will pick up all the mousture on the carpets and eventually depositing it on the windows.
