Since its been chucking it down I've noticed an issue with my newish Valeo wiper set. Essentially what happens is the main blade (drivers side) trips over the passenger one making it jump (and naturally this in turn makes a lovely thudding sound on the windscreen).

What's frustrating is that the set was specifically for the Bravo but when you look at them, they do look too close together even when 'parked'. It's like they both should be an inch smaller each.

Currently the drivers side is 24" and the passenger is 18". Think I may have to swap them out.

Anyone else have the same issue with the Valeo set?

They are the correct sizes, 18" (45cm) and 24"(60cm).
If you want to replace them you could try Bosch, the original ones were Bosch.

It's worth paying more for the Bosch IMO. I've tried cheaper ones including Valeo and they never work as well.

Not at all, Valeo are OEM and there is nothing wrong with them, its the fitment which seems to be the issue.

I'd drop the passenger one into the bonnet a bit more. Just unscrew the bolt and lower it about an inch.

:yeahthat: Its what I meant even though I for some reason said raise it

There are rows of three little dots on your windscreen. These are alignment marks for the wiper blades when at rest.

I had the same issue with the Valeo blades so replaced the passenger blade with a 17" unit. Problem solved.
