For those that do not understand how the system works.. check this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyJn40ExwZY.

It should delay the spark when it reaches 4k rpm so that the fuel-air mixture ignites closer to the exhaust valves opening.. the hot expanding gases spool the turbo.

I do see the need for this system if you have a giant turbo.. but the Bravo's ones are small and spool really easy..... but this also works as a launch control limiting the revs to 4k with the clutch pressed.. after it's released the car revs up as normal.
But when changing gears the revs are again limited to 4k.. and the gases again spin the turbo

Thanks for that. I now understand how it works but it now makes me wonder the point of it on what is essentially an average family 5 door hatchback? Sounds like it could bring in unreliability issues due to increased heat.

Suppose it's one of those things buddy, why modify any car? Why do people stick huge fast and furious bumpers on 15 year old Astra's? Why do people stick loud ass exhausts on 1 litre clio's? Etc etc? Just owners choice in what to do. There's never a reason, just a final product the owner is happy with. :)

There will become mixed opinions on what I have done but I believe nobody has ever done this on a bravo, I bought the unit from ldpeformance and took around 3 hours to install

Had to cut into each ignition coil, the clutch switch and the fuse box, managed to get it right 1st time and the result was not what I was expecting

Never heard something so loud in my life, my ears were still ringing the next morning

I've set the limiter to 4k rpm, the videos do not do it justice at all, had a,lot of fun with it, also it allows me to flat foot shift when changing gears. It builds 0.8 bar at idle and the launches are awesome
i need this in my life, have you got the link to the place you bought the launch control or even the make and model of the unit?
